This would have to be one of my all-time favourite movies that was every school kids dream to do when I was in High School. Like his mother and father, Patricia and James Broderick, Matthew Broderick is a very gifted actor, and delivers a great performance in this adolescent rebellious coming of age clip, that would have any of the "Baby Boomer" generation smile It does me:- As I say in all my reviews, I only collect movies that I know will not become boring after having watched them a few times, so its important to select a movie based upon your like or dislike for the main characters.

Very good movie, funny and well written. It takes me back to the 80s which were a hell of alot more fun than The only scene in this movie that i cant stand is the incredibly lame lip synching parade. They should have had broderick sing it himself. Other than that it is a very entertaining movie.

Pity his sidekick Alan didn't get the recognition deserved as an actor later on during his short spanned career. Ferris Bueller is hilarious. It's one of those cult classic 80s teenager movies that adults can appreciate. I watched it when I was young, my kid loved it too.
