I do not have the drive plugged into the new computer. It works over the network for the old computer running Windows 8. I am doing this on the old computer. However, I need access on the new computer. Just wanted to mention in case I had not explained properly. I have tried it multiple times with every user and password combination I can think of but I keep getting the following errors:.
The problem I have now is that I do not know the user name and password. I used the one I thought was correct but it keeps coming up as an error. Last night, I was wondering if I needed to download software onto the new machine for me to be able to access the Bookworld hard drive. I can try looking on the old machine to see if there is a directory of software and copy it across to a memory stick I can go and look through 50 boxes for the packaging for the Bookworld to see if there is a CD inside.
Then try and copy the CD to a memory stick. I would still be stuck with not knowing the user name and password I assume that there is a procedure to amend it. I assume then I may be stuck with neither machine being able to access the drive. Presumably I would have to change the new id and password on the old machine for the Bookworld drive. The final option is to see if there is anyone on this small island that could help me. However, this would cost money and I am disabled with a very small income.
I do have other issues with the new computer that I could ask this mythical person would have to ask everyone I know to find such a person and post on the Island Forum on Facebook which might take some time. I can not see or access MyBookWorld drive on my new computer running Windows
